The EEE Department was established in the year 1994 -95. Dr.P.subburaj,M.E., Dean & Head who has academic & industrial experience for about two decades, leads the department efficiently and successfully with 15 staff members to support.
The faculty are actively engaged in Researches in the fields of Power System Economics, Power System modeling & Image Processing. The department offers the following courses

(The only Engineering College offering High Voltage Engineering PG Degree course under the affiliated colleges of Anna University.)
The department has a Centralized computer centre with Pentium processors & software tool like MATLAB, ETAP & PSCAD. The department also has a Library with reference books, journals & magazines which will motivate the students for effective learning. The department has audio visual aids such as Over Head Projectors (OHP) & Multi Media Projector which helps the faculty to implement new teaching methodologies.

Electrical and Electronics Engineering Association was inaugurated in the year 1994. The objective of the association is to motivate the student community by conducting following activities every year:

2. National Level Conference
Department organizes National Level Conference - “Recent Trends and Emerging Technologies in Electrical Systems - ELCON” from the year 2004. Every Year, the conference is conducted in the month of March-April with eminent professors from esteemed institutions as chair persons. The faculties and PG students from Engineering Colleges all over Tamil-Nadu are participating & getting benefits through this programme.
